IKC CELTIC WINNERS
The show season started in earnest in March with the annual IKC Celtic Winners show on 16th March. The show, sponsored by GAIN PETFOODS, attracted an entry of 1,395 dogs and Best in Show judge, John Walsh, awarded top spot to Yvonne Cannon's Shih Tzu, Ch Cloughlea Dare To Believe.
COMBINED CANINE CLUB
Combined Canine Club’s International Championship show, sponsored by CONNOLLY'S RED MILLS had an entry of 1,560 dogs with BIS judge, Harry O'Donoghue awarding top spot to Alan and Sarah Matthews' Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Ch & GB Ch Craigycor Viva La Diva.
CCC POTY 2012
Combined Canine Club hosted the annual 'Pup of the Year' final on Easter Sunday at the Moran's Red Cow Hotel and sponsored by GAIN PETFOODS. The final assessment was made by Paco Rodriguez who declared POTY 2012 as Noel Beggs and June Wall's Rottweiler, Alldenria Everready.
PORTADOWN
Portadown was held in the second weekend in April at the Kings Hall complex in Belfast. The show, sponsored by HAPPY DOG and Chill Insurance Services, attracted an entry of 1,285 dogs and Best in Show judge, Noel Beggs awarded BIS to Billy & Josh Henderson and Ciaran and Ann Marie Donnelly's Dobermann, Ch & GB Ch Tuwos Hrana.
Banbridge Canine Club's All Breed Champ Show was held on the same weekend as Portadown. The show, sponsored by HAPPY DOG, attracted an entry of 1,192 dogs and Best in Show judge, Zita Fogarty awarded BIS to Stephanie and Maura Walsh's American Cocker Spaniel, Sh Ch Silveross Free Spirit.
BANBRIDGE
SOUTH TIPPERARY
May Bank Holiday and the 'Trip to Tipp', South Tipperary Canine Club attracted an entry of 1,400 dogs.  HAPPY DOG sponsored the show. Lyn Richardson judged Best In Show and she gave the accolade to David and Jacqui Benson's Bernese Mountain Dog , Ch & GB Ch Patrick De La Galea at Bernervalley.
FERMOY
Fermoy Canine Club International Championship Show attracted an entry of 1,565 dogs with the added bonus of the opportunity to gain CACIB's.  ROYAL CANIN sponsored the show. Jean McErlane from New Zealand judged Best In Show and she gave BIS to the Bichon Frise, Ashling Connolly’s Ch & GB Ch, Ashmair Double Act.
NEWTOWNARDS
Newtownards All Breed Championship Show attracted an entry of 1,134 dogs.  HAPPY DOG sponsored the show. Noreen Clarke, secretary of Carlow, was the Best in Show judge for Newtownards & District's 9th Championship show. From the 10 group winners assembled, Noreen's choice for top honours fell to Willie & Mandy Dobbin's Newfoundland, Ch & GB Ch Brooklynbear Nijinsky.
HIBERNIAN
Hibernian Club held their 37th Championship Show on the middle Saturday in May, the same weekend as SKC and also the World Show in Hungary; despite this the show attracted an entry of almost 1,100 dogs. ROYAL CANIN sponsored the show. Joy O’Connor chose Jimmy Duggan's Siberian Husky, Ch & Int Ch Bedarra Cold Paws Warm Heart For Leorient BIS.
MUNSTER
Munster Canine Club's All Breed Champ Show  attracted an entry of 950 dogs. The show was sponsored by Connolly's Red Mills. Best in Show judge, Anthony Kelly awarded BIS to Cathy Loughlin & Katie Kelly's Irish Setter, Sh Ch Rohanmor You Were Made For Me.
CORK
Cork & District CC All Breed Championship Show  attracted an entry of almost 1,000 dogs. ROYAL CANIN sponsored the show. Mary Searson chose Ashling Connolly’s Bichon Frise, Ch & GB Ch, Ashmair Double Act, for BIS.
SWORDS
Swords All Breed Championship Show  in the middle of June is a popular show.  Ann Ingram's pick for BIS was Harold Quigg & Ron Ramsay's Kerry Blue Terrier, GB Ch Torums Calico Jack At Irisblu. ROYAL CANIN sponsored the show.
KILKENNY
The 39th Kilkenny & District Canine Club’s Championship show took place at the club’s now traditional venue of The Hub, Cillin Hill.  Carmel O’Riordan's choice for BIS was Kelly Lawless, Kevin Sharp Dixon & Jude Reyes' Australian Silky Terrier, Ch Curiosity Love Affair. HAPPY DOG sponsored the show.
DEISE
Deise Championship show took place at the Waterford & Tramore Racecourse, high on the hill overlooking the famous Tramore Strand. The show had an entry of 970 dogs. Best In Show judge, Cathy Delmar chose Tom & Ann Marie Mervyn's German Short Haired Pointer, Sh Ch & GB Sh Ch Karlivar Dusky Rose At Tomanipoint as her winner. HAPPY DOG sponsored the show.
BRAY
Bray and District Canine Society held its 67th Annual Championship show on 6th July, the show attracted an entry of just over 1,250 dogs. HAPPY DOG sponsored the show. Best In Show under Chris Cathcart was Harold Quigg & Ron Ramsay's Kerry Blue Terrier, GB Ch Torums Calico Jack.
ILKA
The Irish Ladies Kennel Association held its 18th Annual Championship Show in early July, the show attracted an entry of 1,165 dogs. Connolly's Red Mills sponsored the show. Best In Show under Billy Blount was David & Jackie Benson's Bernese Mountain Dog, Ch & GB Ch Patrick De La Galea At Bernervalley.
SLIGO
Sligo Show show attracted an entry of over 1,000 dogs. Connolly's Red Mills sponsored the show. Best In Show under Henry Stanley was Ann Ingram & Kay Ryan's Toy Poodle, Tirkane The Big Issue.
MONKSTOWN
Dun Laoghaire Canine Society, colloquially known as ‘Monkstown’ referring to the society’s roots, held their Championship Show on the August Bank Holiday. The show attracted an entry of 1,147 dogs. The show was sponsored by GAIN PETFOODS. BIS was Alan & Sarah Matthews' Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Ch & GB Ch Craigycor Viva La Diva chosed by BIS judge, Dan Ericsson.
BANGOR
Bangor & North Down Canine Club’s 10th Annual Championship Show attracted an entry of 1,225 dogs. Best in Show under visiting German judge, Walter Schicker was Aiden McKiernan’s English Setter, Sh Ch & GB Sh Ch Richecca Reach For The Skye. The show was sponsored by ROYAL CANIN, represented by Mary Davidson and Maria Collins.
NAVAN & HOUND ASSN
The Munster Circuit started with the Navan Club hosting the 1, 2 and 5 Group Championship show  and the Hound Association of Ireland running the Championship events for groups 4, 6 and 10.
CLONMEL
The Circuit for everyone started on the Sunday with the trip to Clonmel for the host club’s annual Championship show. This show always attracted the biggest entry of the week and this year with over 2,000 dogs entered. Best in Show was judged by Mervyn Webb, and his choice was Billy and Josh Henderson’s Dobermann Pinscher, Ch & GB Ch Tuwos Halestorm.
KILLARNEY
The Circuit continued with Killarney which saw an entry of over 1,600 dogs. The show was sponsored by HAPPY DOG. Making his judging debut in the Best in Show ring,  was Gerry McFaul whose choice for Best in Show John and Carol Mulcahy’s Rough Collie, Australian Supreme Ch Kazis Sir Spencer.
LIMERICK
Wednesday of the Circuit was Limerick & District which saw an entry of 1,828 dogs. The show was sponsored by Connolly's Red Mills. Brenda Banbury was Best in Show judge, and she chose Billy and Josh Henderson’s Dobermann Pinscher, Ch & GB Ch Tuwos Halestorm BIS.
TRALEE
The Circuit concluded with Tralee which saw an entry of over 1,600 dogs. The show was sponsored by PET MASTER. Nick Hammond, BIS judge, picked Eamon Keenan's Lhasa Apso, Ch Heneva Raising The Bets as his winner.
CARLOW
Carlow show brought to an end the outdoor show scene and attracted entry of 1,322 dogs. The show was sponsored by Connolly's Red Mills. South African judge, Doreen Powell, on a return visit to Carlow, was the Best in Show judge and from her 10 group finalists, her winner was Barbara Ferguson, Jarka Poulova and Philip O'Brien's Kerry Blue Terrier, Ch Edbrios Dolce Vita.
IKC INTERNATIONAL DAY 1
The IKC held two International shows in October. The Saturday show attracted an entry of 1,647 dogs. The show was sponsored by GAIN PETFOODS. Judging Best in Show was John O’Hanlon and topping the entry was Lynda Cuthbert Matthews and Don Foran’s Whippet, Ch Courthill Catch A Shadow.
IKC INTERNATIONAL DAY 2
The Sunday show attracted an entry of 1,569 dogs and was again sponsored by GAIN PETFOODS. Nicky White was centre stage and his choice for Best in Show fell to the Danish based Golden Retriever, Jeanette Filskov’s Sh Ch, Dk Sh Ch & Int Ch Abinvale Traguardo.
BULL BREEDS
This was the last year for Bull Breeds to hold its show in the autumn as from next year the show will be held in July. The show sponsored by PET MASTER had an excellent entry of just over 1,400 dogs. Con Hackett judged BIS where his winning dog was Ashling Connolly’s Bichon Frise, Ch & GB Ch Ashmair Double Act.
CLOGHRAN
November saw the IKC Cloghran show, sponsored by HAPPY DOG it attracted an entry of 1,235. Ann Taggart was the Best in Show judge, choosing Yvonne Cannon’s Shih Tzu, Ch Cloughlea Dare To Believe Best in Show.
DUBLIN
The last show of the year, held on 27th December, Dublin Dog Show Society attracted an entry of 1,126 dogs. Best in Show judge was IKC President, Séan Delmar and taking top spot under Séan was John and Carol Mulcahy’s Rough Collie, Australian Supreme Ch Kazjis Sir Spence. The show was sponsored by HAPPY DOG.
